Craft Magazine

Does anyone in Toronto know where they sell Craft Magazine? I've checked my local international magazine shop and Book City (which we affectionately call "Boo City") but I have not seen it. Is it possible that they don't distribute up here?

If you can't find it up there and would like me to grab one for you, just yell.

I saw it at Chapters here in NS - so maybe Indigo in Toronto? It's a cool mag, but I was a bit surprised at the price - $17. But, I am a cheapskate. (:

Wow, $17 for a magazine?! Why? I don't understand why it costs that much...Children are starving in the world and we as a society are spending $17 for frickin a magazine...where is the logic behind that? Are we so uninspired by the world around us that we need a $17 magazine to inspire ourselves to be creative? No thanks, I rather use that money to donate a goat to a family in need.

I had no idea it was such an expensive magazine.

Elaine, I was with you up until the goat. If you take a look around, you'll notice all the vegan links :) I would, however, rather spend that money on big ol' pile of beans and rice for a family in need :)

I'll send you the rice and beans and the goat can go to a family in Kenya or Haiti to provide them with milk, cheese and yoghurt...we all have causes that we feel strongly about. There is no right or wrong. Help comes in many forms. Namaste.

Elaine - of course we all have different views and different causes we feel strongly about. I just wanted to point out that this is a pretty pro-vegan space, and veganism is what most people who often stop by here feel extremely strongly about. I also care about the people in this world who are less fortunate, but we have differing views on how this issue can be approached.

take care.

Who is Elaine, with no Blogger account?

I don't think a fancy magazine is unneccessarily frivolous, and not something to feel guilty about. If you were going to buy a Hummer and start driving it for leisure, that would be a different thing.

I don't know where to buy Craft magazine. Does anyone know where I can get Adorn magazine in Toronto?

Carla - I found Adorn at Boo City on Danforth! I'm sure the other Boo Cities have it too :)

Cool thanks! Boo City it is, then!

I must be such hard work to produce a quality magazine, that's why they seem pricey.

Just because something is expensive does not mean that it is "good quality." It merely suggests that society is gullible and not very discerning with their money, and they will spend the money to achieve a certain level of status or worth.

It's all about the "haves" and the "have-nots."
