This makes me a little sad.
I am trying to come up with an idea/concept to promote a repository type of website. Apparently, stock photo companies haven't discovered that libraries are, in fact, cool.

Hey, sometimes even computer search engines are dumb :D Try using a variety of words that might translate into "cool". Or even other ways of saying library like biblioteque or whatever; just offering suggestions cause I love challenging searches on the net. Hmmm, what kind of images are you searching for?

oh, I'm sure I would have been able to rustle up something with different words, but you can't get any more basic with the idea I had to work with than "library" and "cool" :) We ended up going in a different direction shortly after anyway.

As a professional librarian-archivist, I know for surethat libraries are cool (I might be biased!), but I have no idea how to find what you were looking for :-( Too bad.
